The Benevolence Ministry is designed to help needy or hurting people in the congregation and community. This ministry provides an excellent opportunity for the church to reach and make a real difference in people’s lives. The Benevolence ministry is more than giving money to the poor. The right way to help is to become involved in the person’s life through a relationship building in Christ and outside of Christ.

Fore more details: The Benevolence ministry was modeled after Acts 6:1-6

Deacons are leaders of unquestionable character who are filled with the Holy Spirit and are committed servants. As servants of Christ and His people, the deacons will serve as the pastor’s right arm and will work harmoniously at all times in the best interest of the church. “They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.”- 1 Timothy 3:10

The Hospitality Ministry is blessed to provide a hot, delicious breakfast every Sunday and provide food requirements for all scheduled church activities. Just as the kitchen is the heart of many homes, in many ways the church’s kitchen is the heart of the church. It offers the opportunity to build closer relationships with the church community that spans all age groups and interests.

The Intercessory Ministry meets Friday at 7:00 pm to serve God’s people through prayer. We touch and agree in prayer about various concerns of God’s people and encouraging God’s people to pray believing God’s Word: Matthew 18:19 – “Again I say unto you. That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven.”

The Missionary Ministry is a much needed part of the body of Christ with a special assignment. We are spiritual servants and disciples who accept and embrace the will of God, the word of God and the work of God for the glory of God. As Missionaries by the grace of God, we will help promote and declare Jesus’ saving grace to sinners (evangelism), comfort to those who mourn, compassion to the unfortunate and help to those in need that the Name of Jesus will be made known and exalted in the earth.

Our primary responsibility and duties as servants of the Lord, is to assist the Pastor and provide for his needs. We are to greet the congregation and visitors with a warm and friendly disposition, making them feel welcomed, as we usher them into the presence of the Lord. We help maintain order and orchestrate movement during the service and anytime. Lastly, we receive the offering in a cheerful manner. We strive to be efficient in our job, but never at the expense of kindness.

First Church of Christ Holiness USA (First Church) understands the difficulties that come with the transition of a loved one and wants the member to know that they will not go through this period alone. After the transition of a loved one, the first year can be a difficult process; therefore, the Grief Ministry Support Team made up of anointed men and women is established to provide support to those who are dealing with a death.

“Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be comforted”. Matthew 5:4 (NKJV)
